PLC Wiring

When we buy any plc, we should know how to connect (Wiring) it. We can buy AC or DC supply PLC as our requirement. General PLC parts are as follows…..

1. 2-slot rack, integrating the power supply, the processor and its memory.
2. PLC mounting points.
3. Centralized Display Block.
4. Terminal port (TER).
5. Reset Button.
6. Cover for accessing power supply terminals.
7. Label to be filled in when changing battery.
8. Cover for accessing optional battery and operating system write protect switch.
9. I/Os module
10. Access cover for mini extension rack connection.
11. Device fr mounting on DIN rails.

There are four types of wiring method….

  1. Source input Source output
  2. Source input sink output
  3. Sink input Source output
  4. Sink input Sink output

 Source input Source output

At Inputs
In this process positive terminal is connected with common (com) and Supply (0,1,2,3,4,5 etc) connected with Negative terminal.

At Outputs
In this process Line terminal is connected with common (com) and Loads (0,1,2,3,4,5 etc) connected with Neutral terminal.
