PLC Security and Navigation

Hello guys, Today we study some important properties of SCADA.

NAVIGATION

Navigation is the process where we can switch our programs. Let us suppose we are running a program 5 and we want to open program 1 then we should click a button and we will be in program 5 and vice versa. We can go into any program.

Open two blank pages (Display page) and Draw two different things on page to distinguish them. Save both display and give them name like RAM and SHYAM

RAM

DRAW A SWITCH-->ACTION-->COMMAND-->BROWSE-->GRAPHICS-->GRAPHICS DISPLAY-->NAVIGATION-->DISPLAY-->FILE NAME (CHOOSE SHYAM)-->CLOSE


  SHYAM

DRAW A SWITCH-->ACTION-->COMMAND-->BROWSE-->GRAPHICS-->GRAPHICS DISPLAY-->NAVIGATION-->DISPLAY-->FILE NAME (CHOOSE RAM)-->CLOSE

Now run program if you click on switch of a page it navigate you to alternate page.

SECURITY

Name itself explain its beauty. It keeps our files safe.

Open display and save file “RAMESH”.

MAKE ANY PROJECT-->GO TO ANIMATION-->CHOOSE THINGS YOU WANT TO PROTECT (Visibility)-->ON TAG NAME GIVE COMMAND(if system\user = “RAMESH” then 1 else o)-->GO TO PROJECT-->SYSTEM-->USER ACCOUNT-->NAME SYSTEM USER (RAMESH) AND GIVE PASSWORD-->ACCEPT-->SAVE-->OK.

GO TO DISPLAY-->MAKE A SWITCH-->GO TO ACTION-->COMMAND-->BROWSE(press action)-->SYSTEM-->SECURITY-->LOGIN-->GIVE USER NAME AND PASSWORD-->FINISH-->COPY LOGIN ON UPPER APPEARANCE-->OK


GO TO DISPLAY-->MAKE A SWITCH-->GO TO ACTION-->COMMAND-->BROWSE(press action)-->SYSTEM-->SECURITY-->LOG OUT-->GIVE USER NAME AND PASSWORD-->FINISH-->COPY LOG OUT ON UPPER APPEARANCE-->OK

Now run a program. Your program is invisible till you give username and password.


We have two more things to study like Recipe and Database communication. We study it later on plc scada communication topic and in Intouch. So guys if you want to know it before plc training then I post it anytime.

Tomorrow we start SIEMENS PLC.
